Historic Suffrage Parade May 7, 2022 

YOU ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN A ONCE ONLY RE-ENACTMENT PARADE FOR WOMAN’S SUFFRAGE IN KNOXVILLE TENNESSEE.  Our request is that you put a group together to join us in this parade.  It is very easy to participate and a historical event.   

Suffrage 102 Year Celebration Parade. Knoxville, Tennessee, Saturday May 7th, 5:00. 

The Suffrage 102 year Celebration Parade is a special, one-time event that celebrates an important milestone for women and America.   

The Suffrage Parade will line up at 3:00 and 3:30. At 5:00 the participants will proceed down Gay Street, turn onto Clinch Avenue, then right onto Market Street.  The parade route will pass the Burn Memorial and the Tennessee Woman Suffrage Memorial ending in Market Square for a Suffrage Program. May 7th Suffrage parade route begins at Willow Ave. near Old City, right on Central (Old City main street), left on Jackson, left on Gay, right on Clinch, right on Market ending in Market Square for a program which will begin fifteen minutes after the end of the parade.   

Participants will park in lots on Jackson near Barley’s, walkers will line up on Willow Ave., vehicles to be decorated for the parade will park next to Willow Ave. in parking lot.  Information and merchandise for sale will set up on Willow side of the parking lots.

 Participants (Women of all ages, children, men,) may organize a group to walk in the parade or come and join in any group in the parade. Men will walk with a group of women or under the banner “Men’s Ratification Committee”.  Banners are available for purchase for $15.0.  Banners with name of group and a standard to carry are $50.00. Contact us to order a banner.  A group could be girl scouts, attorneys, teachers, nurses, doctors, office groups, social groups, schools, sports teams, neighborhood, political–any group that believes it in every citizen’s right to vote. 

 Note: live animals are not allowed.   

 If possible wear vintage clothing or white clothes to create a reenactment look.  Hats are great to create the look.  Or dress to identify your group such as attorney’s in suits, scouts in their uniform.
