FEBB BURN 2023 BANQUET

We very truly appreciate your support, sponsorship, interest and help, making it possible for the Suffrage Coalition, Inc. to continue to locate and preserve the history of Woman Suffrage, especially in Tennessee. We will be having this year’s annual fundraiser on August 18th—the actual date of the historic vote that that made Tennessee the proud final, critical vote that enfranchised women in this country. Crowne Plaza downtown will be the venue.

Plans for this year include a suffrage fashion show that will highlight not only the fashions themselves, but also the role that fashion played in the anti-suffrage propaganda, and the compromises the suffragists chose to make because of the fashion issues.

Candace Corrigan (who wrote and produced A Vote of Her Own and How Southern Women Won the Vote) will join us with songs that were actually used in the suffrage campaign. There may even be a bit of a sing-along!

We will have a silent auction, special displays and more.
